Seeking a Sailboat

Though it may seem unlikely that we would have a need for a boat here in the desert, Spanish teacher Tom Curtis, is asking your help in finding just that resource for our students.  The College would be very lucky to add sailing to our list of activities.  If you can help, please contact Tom directly.


In an effort to expand the possibilities in outdoor education here at UWC-USA, we are seeking donations in the form of a sailboat. We are more specifically looking for an 18 - 23 foot trailerable low draft or swing keel boat (such as a Mariner, Ultimate 20, Capri 22....etc.), preferably with a full set of sails including main, jib, genoa, and spinnaker. This would allow us the opportunity for year-round sailing excursions in the shallow lakes throughout New Mexico and other lakes in neighboring states. If you have such a boat which you are no longer using and would be willing to donate please contact Tom Curtis using the information below:
